As many photographers learn along the way is posing their clients appropriately. In this image I posed my models poorly. Why? I first placed the women in front of the man. Not so awful of a mistake if done properly. Where I began to falter is placing him farther away from me then she was and raising him a level while keeping her lower. this perception creates her to look much larger than he is. Him being much taller than her also didnt help the this situation muchbesides he had more heighth to lean around her to be captured with out looking uncomfortable or scrunched appearance. This pose would have been fine still if I raised my height above them to make them appear even and equal. But being on stairs this was difficult with no way to be square with their faces and above without a ladder. I use my step stool often! This is why people take selfies raising the camera above them to thin their appearance and fit another person in the frame if needed, so one individual doesn't take up majority of the frame.... Something to think about next time capturing your selfie or maybe when placing family members for a photo on different height levels, hills, chairs, and basically anything that effects heighth.Hope you enjoyed reading, stop in next week for some selfie tips!
